WORLD IN CONFLICT
> How to play World in Conflict online in 2026
World in Conflict, released in 2007 by Massive Entertainment and published by Sierra/Vivendi, is an RTS that rewrote the genre's rules: no resource gathering, no base building. Fast 20-minute matches where each player picks a role (Infantry, Armor, Support, Air) and calls in Tactical Aids — airstrikes, tactical nukes, paratroopers, artillery, napalm, tank drops — bought with reputation points earned in combat. Alt-history Cold War gone hot (a Soviet invasion of the USA and Europe), a custom engine with cinematic explosions, and a single-player and multiplayer scene that still has die-hard fans.
On Old Servers you get World in Conflict + Soviet Assault (the 2009 expansion) inside the Private Network, for free. Grab the Launcher from our Discord and jump into multiplayer matches for up to 16 players (8v8) on the original maps, with every role enabled. With Massgate gone (the original matchmaker shut down in 2015), here it's still running. Perfect if you want an RTS that breaks from the usual formula — no bases, no economy, just pure tactical combat with airstrikes raining down left and right.
